Harvey, Edward Wayne

Edward Wayne Harvey, 67, of Summerville, S.C., and formerly of Pearisburg, Va., died Sunday, June, 15, 2008.

Wayne was born September 20, 1940, in Princeton, W.Va., and was a son of the late Roy E. Harvey and Catherine Coburn Harvey. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force with 22 years service and was the owner of Harvey Construction Company. He attended Southern Illinois University.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Harvey; five sons, Edward Harvey, David A. Harvey, Stephen P. Harvey, Gregory T. Harvey and Jeffrey W. Harvey; daughter, Teresa Simmons; brother, James A. Harvey; sister, Karen Santolla; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pembroke, Va., with burial in Birchlawn Burial Park with full Military Honors by the American Legion Post 68 of Narrows, Post 311 of Pembroke, and the VFW Post 6000 of Narrows.
