Summerell, Jr., Robert Eugene

Robert Eugene Summerell, Jr., departed this life on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center. Bob, who was known to friends as Bullwinkle (Winkle) was born on December 31, 1946 in Savannah, Ga. to parents Robert and Mildred Summerell.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Summerell and husband, Brad Berkner, Emily Summerell Leahy and husband, Andrew, and their children Jack, Henry, George and Fred; his wife of 27 years, Christine (Tina) Summerell; and former wife, Diane Morrison; as well as many friends.

Winkle, a resident of the Blacksburg area for fifty years, was a lover of music and good times. A gathering to celebrate Winkle’s life and memory will be held at alater date.
