Agee, L. Bedsaul
The Rev. Bedsaul Agee, 71, formerly of Floyd and and of Breckenridge, Mich., passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008.
He was born May 29, 1937, in Copper Hill, Va., to the late Rev. Wilson and Vivian Peters Agee. He married Verda Cooper on November 1, 1957, in Copper Hill, Va. He graduated from Messiah College in Granthan, Pa., with A MA and THE degrees. Following college, Rev. Agee pastored for over 40 years serving churches in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Michigan. Most recently the Bethel Brethren In Christ Church of Merrill, Mich., retiring in 2005. He served on the board of directors for Camp Freedom in St. Petersburg, Fla. Rev. Agee also did evangelistic ministry throughout the United States and Canada.
He is survived by his wife, Verda; son, Michael and wife, Olive Agee, of Hastings, Mich.; four grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; a brother and wife, Jack and Kathryn Agee, of Troutville; two sisters and husbands, Velma and Sheldon Kelley, of Roanoke, and Nancy and Leslie Minnix, of Troutville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home with Pastors Dennis Titchey and William Berry officiating. Interment in in the Moran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Camp Freedom in St. Petersburg, Fla. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home in Floyd, Va.
