Hanes, Viola Gray

Viola Gray Hanes, 76, of Pearisburg, died Monday morning, June 2, 2008, at Pulaski Health and Rehab. Center after a long illness. Born in Narrows on February 11, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Gladys Stebar Blankenship. Her daughter Regina Brown preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Rolf Arthur Hanes, of Norway; two sons, Wendell Brown, of Pembroke and Robert Brown, of Liberty, Pa.; two brothers, Gary Blankenship and Billy Blankenship, both of Baltimore; three sisters, Helen Greenleaf, of Pearisburg, Madeline Gautier, of Narrows, Sylvia Lilly, of Peterstown, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
