Gibson, Lewis Douglas

Lewis Douglas (Doug) Gibson, 62, of Christiansburg, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rose Gibson; five stepsons, Tommy, Michael, Harvey, Richard and David; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Jane Gibson, of Boones Mill, Va.; and sisters and brother-in-law, Rachel and Herman Profit, of Roanoke, Ruth Billard, of Florida, and Crystal Eanes, of Roanoke. Mr. Gibson is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call anytime on Sunday, May 25, 2008, at The Horne Funeral Home after 12 noon where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Everette Shepherd and Mr. John Tibbs officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the New River Holiness Church, 3635 Peppers Ferry Road, Christiansburg, Va. 24073.
