Dove, Virginia Douglas

Virginia Douglas Dove, 79, of Chantilly, Va., died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Inova Commonwealth Care Center.

She was born in Covington, Va., on September 7, 1928, to the late Ernest and Thelma Craft Douglas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore McKinley Dove.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Dove Dragos, of Chantilly, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary W. and Cassandra Dove, of Manquin, Va.; two grandchildren, Michael Dove and wife, Nicole, of Richmond, Va., and Jennifer Alexandra Barrett and husband, Scott, of Hubert, N.C.; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Grace Barrett; sisters, Lucille Catonia, Margaret Semones and Margie Waid; a brother, Ernest Douglas; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday, May 24, 2008, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, Va.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg, Va.
