Ramos, Tyrus Raymond

ramos_tyrus_raymondTyrus Raymond Ramos, 70, of Scenic Drive in Narrows, departed this life Thursday evening March 16, 2006 at Giles Memorial Hospital in the loving care of his family. Born in Logan, West Virginia on December 26, 1935 he was a son of the late Jose Arcadio Ramos and Lucille Browning Ramos Morris.

He was a devout Christian and attended Princeton Apostolic Church, was retired from Commonwealth Bolt and had worked with the Brinks Co. as a truck driver, and was a veteran of the U S Marine Corps during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by two sisters Virginia Frazier and Brenda Phillips and a brother David Randal Ramos, and step-father Clarence Morris.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Helen Smith Ramos; three daughters Vicky R. Robbins and husband Ronnie H. of Rich Creek, Regina R. Smith and husband Rex of Narrows, Bambi R. Cales and husband Timothy of Summers Co., WV; four brothers Glen Roy Ramos of Narrows, Reyes Ramos of Lima Ohio, Raleigh Roberts of Roderfield, WV, Bucky Morris of White Gate; three sisters Phyllis Blankenship of Narrows, Frankie Vaughn of Narrows, Sharon Albert of White Gate; his mother-in-law Inez Blankenship Smith of Narrows; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday March 21, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke with Pastor Scott Hall, Pastor Tommy Ramsey and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Memory Gardens at Narrows with graveside military honors by American Legion Post 311 in Pembroke and Post 68 in Narrows and VFW Post 6000 in Narrows.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to help with funeral expenses. Online condolences may be left at www.kendallfuneralhome.com
