Lawson, Charles Graham
Charles Graham Lawson, 79, of Pulaski, died Monday morning, May 12, 2008, in Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born September 7, 1928, in Draper, and was the son of the late Emma Kidd Lawson and Coy Lee Lawson. He was a faithful and active member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Pulaski where he served as a former property department chair, a former deacon, a member of the Bishop/Rauhof Sunday School Class, and beginning in 2003, he served on the Pastoral Relations Committee, and sang in the Men’s Choir. According to some members, Graham made the best deviled eggs served during fellowship meals. He was also a veteran having proudly served in the United States Army and retired as a self employed contractor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helga Drexel Lawson. He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Lawson Hix and her husband, Wayne Edward Hix, of Dublin. Also survived by a very special friend, Nancy Voroyka, of Dublin; a special grand-dog, Chloe Caroline; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday May 15, 2008, at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons with the Rev. Randy Winn and the Rev. Mike Blouse officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be anytime Wednesday, May 14, 2008, after 4 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.
