Bowyer, Brenda Carol

Brenda Carol Bowyer, 61, of Blacksburg died Monday, October 20, 2014 at her home. She was born in Montgomery County, Va. on November 14, 1952 to the late Marvin Harold and Chlora Keith Bowyer.

She retired from the Blacksburg Police Department after 30 years of service. Brenda was a member of the Glade Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Wanda B. Morehead of McCoy; and nephew, Keith Morehead and his wife, Crystal of Mechanicsville, Va.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2 p.m.Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. David Williams officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Long Shop McCoy Rescue Squad, Box 489, McCoy, VA 24111.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, October25, 2014at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
