Custer, Alfred Junior

Alfred Junior Custer, age 74, of Blacksburg died, Friday, October 3, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Magretta and Robert Sheppard, son, Ronnie Custer, two brothers, Kenneth and Wilmer Custer, a sister, Leota Linkous.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Arleta C. Early, Donna C. and John Early, sons, Junior Custer, II, Chris Custer, mother of his children, Zelina T. Custer, grandchildren, Amanda, Sam, Rusty, Josh, Joseph, Alex, Rachel, Jared, John, sisters, Carol Cadle, Mary Epperly, Nancy Christman, brothers, Ricky Sheppard, Doug Sheppard, special friend who he thought of as a son, Mike Jarrells, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Shepherd officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 pm Sunday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
