Wiseman, Dexter Leon

Dexter Leon Wiseman, 68, of Dublin, departed this life to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

He was a lifelong resident of Pulaski County and was employed at the Radford Arsenal with over 15 years of service. Dexter was an avid Pulaski County Cougar fan and loved camping and traveling. Born October 11, 1939, he was the son of Maxine Wiseman and the late John A. Wiseman. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Dublin Baptist Church.

Surviving is his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Wiseman, Pulaski, mother, Maxine Wiseman, Dublin; sons, Eddie Wiseman and wife, Ann, Pulaski, and Teddy Wiseman and wife, Debbie, Peterstown, W.Va.; two grandchildren he loved dearly , Amber and T.J. Wiseman; sister, Teresa Maxwell, Crozet, Va.; brother, Donald Wiseman and wife, Carlene, Chester, Va.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008, at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Dennis Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
