Kelley, Michael Raymond

Captain Michael Raymond Kelley (Ret. United States Coast Guard), 54, of Elliston, Va.,and Palm Harbor, Fla., departed this life on Wednesday morning, September 17, 2014, at the home in Elliston. Born in Roanoke, Va., on July 26, 1960, he was the son of Joyce Moses Kelley of Elliston and the late Rev. Raymond S. Kelley.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Joyce M. Kelley of Elliston; his wife, Joanne M. Kelley of Palm Harbor, Fla.; his son, Chase Kelley of Boston, Mass.; his daughters, Rowan Kelley of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Brittany and her husband, Chris Nahman, of Los Angeles, Calif.; and his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Paul McDonald of Lawrenceville, Ga. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. A burial at sea is being planned for January. The Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
