Hutson, Katelynn Elaine

Katelynn Elaine (Katie) Hutson, 8, of Newport, became an angel Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born on September 16, 1999, to Chris and Amy Hutson. She was a 3rd grade student at Eastern Elementary School, in Pembroke.

She is survived by her parents, Christopher and Amy Jones Hutson; one brother, Gunner Logan Hutson; grandparents, Patricia F. Hutson and the late Penny G. Hutson and Freddy and Joyce Jones, all of Newport; her great-grandparents, Dorothy K. Sheppard and the late Archie E. Sheppard and Mary Ann Jones McGuire and the late Paul W. Jones, all of Christiansburg; uncles and aunts, Honey Hutson, Lydia Hutson, Jeff Parrish, Greg Jones, Rod and Dorine Sheppard; cousins, Sabrina and Kayla Dalton, Cassidy and Landen Sheppard, Morgan Jones, and many, many other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends; her very special friends, Chris Niece, Greg Cannady and Everette Parks and her many friends at school.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 22, 2008, at 2 p.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Virginia Avenue, in Pembroke, with Pastor T. Michael Bond and Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Hutson Family Cemetery, in Newport.

The family will receive friends at the church Friday evening after 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Memorial Fund For Katelynn Hutson, in care of NBB , 611 Snidow St., Pembroke, Va. 24136.
