David Howard Mitchem, 61, of Christiansburg, died Friday, July 11, 2014. He is survived by his fiancé, Margaret Snider; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Tosha Mitchem, Wesley and Rita Mitchem; step sons, James and Martin Rose; grandchildren, Destini Farley, Bryan Seagraves, Angela Mitchem, Cierra Whittaker, Nathan Mitchem, Cheyenne Mitchem; two brothers, Bobby Mitchem and Charlie Mitchem; three sisters, Annie Riess, Betty Ratcliffe, and Shirley Whittaker; many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, Blacksburg with Rev. Garland Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the Fillinger Cemetery, Pembroke. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time, Thursday at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
