Utt, Mary Kathleen

Mary Kathleen Utt, 63, of Hoges Chapel Community near Pembroke, departed this life March 14, 2008 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Born in Pearisburg on October 22, 1944, she was a daughter of the late James Ray “Shockey” and Annie Gertrude Myers Collins. As a young girl she was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and looked forward to seeing her visiting teachers. She and her husband had worked in the restaurant business in North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Utt, a son, Danny Spraker, and a sister, Shirley Hutson. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Richard and wife, Debra, Riddle of Christiansburg and Tony Compton; a daughter, Patricia Riddle, of Christiansburg; a brother, Ray McKinley “Shockey” and wife, Joyce Price Collins, of Pembroke; four sisters, Reba Dudding of Pembroke, Wanda Price and husband, Dooley, of Pearisburg, Glenna DiRico and husband, Tommy, of Pembroke, Jacqueline Collins of Pembroke; three grandchildren, Kayla, Brittany and Adella Riddle.

There will be no visitation time or public funeral in respect of her wishes. A private interment will follow cremation at a later date. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is serving the Utt and Collins Family. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
