Peery, Kenneth Woodrow

Kenneth Woodrow Peery, 70, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born in Clifton Forge, Va. on August 21, 1935 to the late Woodrow Wilson and Mammie Tolley Peery. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph and Sidney.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Stewart and Kimberly Peery of Radford; sister, Shirley Duddley of Christiansburg; a stepsister, Arlene Woodson of Maryland; a stepbrother, Wade Newcome of California; three grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley, and Adam Peery; and two step grandchildren, James and Amanda Stone.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Carl Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery, Craig County, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dublin Christian Church, 933 Dunlap Road, Dublin, VA 24084.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
