Stafford, Yong Ja

Yong Ja (Kim) Stafford, of Staffordsville, Va., passed away Thursday morning at Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, Va.

Mrs. Stafford was born in Korea on September 19, 1938. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Bane for 50 years.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James E. Stafford, of Staffordsville; one daughter, Mary Kim Stafford, of Staffordsville; one son, James Stuart Stafford, of Bay City, Texas; three grandchildren, Joshua Yong Wolfe, Jessica R. Stafford, and Victoria Marie Donithan; and one greatgrandchild, Makenzie Paige Wolfe.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008, at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Bane, Va., with the Rev. Paula Campbell and the Rev. Wayne Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in the Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg.
