Dillon, Bill Joe

Preceding him in death was his brother, Danny Dale Dillon. His surviving family includes his parents, Warren Alton (Tom) and Mabel Ruth Dillon; wife of 40 years, Shirley Ann Dillon; children, Charles Eugene Shepherd, Mark Wayne Dillon, Rebecca Lea Hodges and husband, Steve, Tammy Renee Traxel and husband, Billy, and Billy Randall Dillon; six grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Hunter and husband, John; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening, March 3, 2010, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A period of visitation will follow until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s name may be made to the Fort Lewis Rescue Squad at 3915 West Main Street in Salem, Va. 24153.
