Davis, Everette Roscoe

Everette (Eb) Roscoe Davis, Elliston, born January 4, 1925, went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 5, 2008.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juliana Katherine Hall and James Washington Davis; four brothers; one sister; and his wife, Elizabeth Allen Davis.

Surviving are one brother, Gold Davis; one sister, Lizzie Womack; his loving children and grandchildren, daughters and son-in-law, Thelma Griggs and Helen and Lonnie Griggs; sons and daughter-in-law, David Davis and Delvis and Diana Davis; grandchildren and their spouses, Gene and Missy Griggs, Richard Griggs and fiancee, Jennifer Walker, Linda and Mike Blankenship, Kathy and Ralph Parker, Krissy and Michael Janney; greatgrandchildren, Harley Griggs, Jacob, Sara and Melissa Blankenship and Hannah and Tara Janney. Also surviving is his stepdaughter and spouse, Wanda and James Hopkins; four stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-greatgrandchildren.

The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice for their loving care. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2008, in the Hall’s United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Akers and the Rev. Andrew Draughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Hall’s Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, March 6, 2008, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg, Va.
