Weeks, Pauline Harman
Pauline Harman Weeks, 98, of Floyd, Va., passed away Wednesday morning, April 22, 2009. She was born and raised in Floyd County. Pauline, also known as “Polly,” enjoyed being in close contact with her family all her life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and everyone who knew her loved her for her strong spirit and tireless generosity. She was preceded in death by her son, Philip Weeks; brothers, Richard Harmon and Marvin Harmon; sisters, Senora Keith and Lucille Lee and husband, Culver Weeks. She is survived by her grandson, Mark Weeks and his wife, Laura, and daughter, Lindsey, of Fairfax; granddaughter, Tracy Brown and her husband, Tim, of Culpeper; brothers and sistersin-law, Fred and Stanley Bea Harmon, of Roanoke, and James and Hilda Harmon, of Floyd; and nieces and nephews, Jolee Crawford, Caprice Spangler, Angie Nichols, James Harmon, Senorah Popp, Stacy Barton, Chetley Harmon, Alan Harman, Patti St.John, Jeanette Wade, Joan Janney, Mary Francis Huff, Mildred Ann Weddle, Joseph Caldwell and Sandra Davis. She leaves behind many friends, including her best friend, Danah Howell. Graveside Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009, at the Jacksonville Cemetery with Mitchell Floyd officiating.
