Cromer, Edith Marie

Edith Marie Cromer, 73, of Christiansburg, died Friday, February 29, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

She was born in Montgomery County, Va., on April 2, 1934, to the late Edward and Rose Field Akers. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Lisa Cromer, and Julie and Larry Quesenberry; grandchildren, Henry and Danielle Quesenberry, all of Christiansburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel Hinkley and Alva Linkous, both of Christiansburg, Edna and Stewart Franklin, of Roanoke, and Lillian and Doug Revis, of Lexington, N.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Bonnie Akers, of Pembroke, and John and Crystal Akers, of Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2008, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewey O. Weaver Jr., the Rev. Scott Souther and the Rev. Dwayne Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening, March 2, 2008, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, S.W., Blacksburg, Va.
