Crabtree, Nancy Ann

Mrs. Nancy Ann Crabtree, 80, of Salem, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2008. She was born on June 25, 1927, in Pulaski County, Va.

She was the daughter of the late Howard Jackson and Agnes Hines Jackson. Nancy was a retired bookkeeper with Business Communication Services. She was also a member of Salem Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Edwin Crabtree Sr.; a sister, Mary Virginia Nash; and a nephew, John Nash. She is survived by her sons, Alfred E. “Eddie” Crabtree Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Salem, and Charles Crabtree Sr. and wife, Tina, of Salem; one grandson, Charles Crabtree Jr.; and two nephews, Robert Nash and Billy Nash.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Dr. Alfred E. Crabtree officiating. Interment will follow at East Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, February 26, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son.
