Shaw, Frank Marshall

Frank Marshall Shaw, 78, of Blacksburg, died Friday, February 15, 2008 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was born in Rawlins, Wyo. on February 27, 1929 to the late Clarence and Winifred Marshall Shaw. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan C. Shaw, a daughter, Patricia Marie Shaw and brother, John C. Shaw. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1950-1953.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret “Peggy” and Bill Shrader of Newport, Sara “Sally” Bates of Jackson, Tenn., Mary and Bill Harp of Oroville, Calif.; sister, Mary Alice Sjoden of Saratoga, Wyo.; grandchildren, Michael Shrader, Brian Shrader and wife, Kim, Mary Beth Flowers and husband, Mack, Becky Bates Wanessa and husband, Tony, Christy Bates, Amy Jernigan and husband, Levi; great-grandchildren, Abigail Shrader, Sarah Shrader, Joshua Shrader, Hunter Flowers, Marshall Brewington, Ashley Duggin, Nevaeh Jernigan, and Elijah Jernigan.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Father James Arsenault officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
