Parker, Olen Dale

Olen Dale Parker, 74, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in Atlanta, Ga., after a period of declining health.

Born in Marion, Va., he moved to Fairlawn (Radford) in 1958 until the death of his wife in 2006 when he moved to Atlanta to again be near family. He was a long time Quality Engineer for Poly Scientific in Blacksburg and L-3 Communications (Randtron) in Marion, Va. He was a long time member of the Fairlawn United Methodist Church.

Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; and daughter, Ruth Blevins. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Leslie Parker, of Marietta, Ga.; and four grandchildren, Kelli Morehead Hopkins, of Newport News, Va., Justin Parker, of Houston, Texas, Nolan and Sydney Parker, of Marietta, Ga.

Family will be receiving friends at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford, Va., on Saturday, February 16, 2008, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. with funeral services following at the funeral home. There will be a private graveside service for family.
