Walker, Dallas Rigney Worrell

Dallas Rigney Worrell Walker, 86, of Bassett, and formerly of Floyd County, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008.

She was the daughter of Ike and Susie Rigney, and was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin Worrell and Bud Walker. Surviving are six daughters, Carolyn Yarbrough, Lawton, Okla., Sandra Joyner, Durham, N.C., Donnita Worrell, Simpsonville, S.C., Sheila Dickerson, Christiansburg, Jennifer Poff, Madison, N.C., and Regina Worrell, Christiansburg; one grandson, Greg McPeak, Christiansburg; and one stepgranddaughter, Nikki Ziegler, Collinsville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at the Branscome Cemetery, Dugspur. Friends may call at Gardner Funeral Home on Wednesday after 6 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd.
