Edwards, Naomi Hughett

Naomi Ruth Hughett Edwards, 85, of Radford, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014. Naomi was born on December 8, 1929, to the late Azriah and Lillian Montgomery Hughett. She was a cone instructor for over 10 years at Jefferson Mill and other various occupations throughout the years. Naomi was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Edwards; a son, Michael W. Edwards; a daughter, Linda Boardwine; and two grandsons.

Those left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sharon E. Curry; her sisters, Dallas H. Giles and Eva (Roy) Brookman; a daughter-in-law, Irma Edwards; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 23, 2014, from 6 to 8 pm at DeVilbiss Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Interment will follow at the Montgomery Family Cemetery in Dublin.

The family would like to especially thank Dr. John Knarr, his staff, and all caregivers at Highland Ridge who gave comfort and support to Naomi and her family during this time.
