Haley, Mary H.

Mary H. Haley, 97, of Christiansburg, died Sunday, January 27, 2008, at her home. She was born in Franklin County on March 29, 1910.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Schelena Gray Cox; and stepson-in-law Paul Cox. She was a longtime member of the Alleghany Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband Carlton Eugene Haley; daughters and son-in-Law, Nancy and Larkin Caldwell, of Christiansburg, and Wanda Culverhouse, Mt. Airy, N.C.; two stepsons and a stepdaughterin-law, Leo Haley of Boones Mill, and Roy and Barbara Haley, of Christiansburg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special friends, Jan and Harold Jolly; and many other close friends.

Special thanks to Dr. Sara Bradford, everyone at the Carilion Clinic, Carilion Hospice, and Good Samaritan Hospice and special nurses Juanita Green and Cheryle Barrett.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January, 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. In the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Porter Riner and Dr. Stan Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. Friends may call anytime after noon on Tuesday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
