Trueheart, Mary Beverly
Mary Alice Beverly “Maudie” Trueheart, age 79, departed this life Mar. 7, 2006 at Pulaski Community Hospital. She was born on Sept. 14, 1926 in Pulaski County. She was the daughter of the late Loraine Beverly Curren and Jordan Lindsey.
Mary was a member of First Baptist Church, Magazine Street in Pulaski and attended Slaughter’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Draper. She was a retired employee from Klopman Mills but continued to work at Williamsburg Estates until her death.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Beverly and stepson, Billy Trueheart, Jr. Mary enjoyed life by fishing, spending time with her grandchildren and cooking. Many summer afternoons those passing by would see her just sitting on her front porch, or working in her flowerbeds that she loved so well.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 30 years, Billy Trueheart, Sr., of Dublin; daughter, Mary Ann Edmonds, Pulaski; son, Douglas Beverly, Miami, Fla; two sisters, Hazel Webb and Estelle Crouse of Pulaski; stepdaughters, Claudine McClanahan and Brenda Jones of Dublin; stepson, Michael Trueheart, Draper; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1:30 –2 p.m. at Randolph Avenue United Methodist Church. The service will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Leroy Henry officiating.
