Roop, Giovanna Sirotic

Giovanna Sirotic Roop, 80, of Christiansburg, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at New River Valley Medical Center.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice R. and W. Richard Shelton, Christiansburg; a son and daughter-in-law, John F. and Karen Roop, Dahlonega, Ga.; grandchildren, Ellen Rachel Lockhart and husband, Michael, Roanoke, Va.; Robert H. Shelton and wife, Beth, Aaron R. Shelton, all of Arlington, Va.; Nicole Roop and Tyler Roop, Dahlonega, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Addison and Aidan Lockhart.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 176, Christiansburg, VA 24068. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
