Lilly, Lucille Bland

Lucille Bland Lilly, 86, of Christiansburg, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at Brandon Oaks Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Parrott, Va. on February 19, 1921 to the late Robert and Gurtie Southerland Bland and was preceded in death by husband, Noel David Lilly, Sr. and a son, Kendel Lilly. She was a long time member of the West Radford Church of God.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Noel David, Jr. "Dee" and Lynn Lilly, of Salem; two grandchildren, Stacey David Lilly of Roanoke, Brian Daniel Lilly of Roanoke; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Warren and Juanita Lilly, of Pearisburg; special friend , Levada "Dickie" Garber, of Christiansburg.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, with the Rev. James Walker officiating.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Brandon Oaks Rehabilitation Center and to to the Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their loving care. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
