Trussell, Doris T.

Doris T. Trussell, 74, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007, at Heritage Hall Health Care Center.

She was born in Montgomery County, Va., on July 4, 1933, to the late Nelson Collins and Thelma Jones. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Collins.

She is survived by her stepfather, Rev. Robert Jones, of Blacksburg; daughter, Dorothy R. Brown, of Greensboro; sons, Bobby Trussell, of Blacksburg, Richard Trussell, of Blacksburg, and Steve Trussell, of Blacksburg; sister and brother-in-law, Helen (Sue) and Melosto Cuadra, of Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Robert Collins and Margie Collins, of Catawba; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 28, 2007, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert P. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Blacksburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive S.W., Blacksburg, Va.
