Vaughn, Nancy Dickerson

Nancy Ann Dickerson Vaughn, 67, of Floyd, passed into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on Friday morning, December 21, 2007.

Nancy was born on January 13, 1940 and spent most of her life in Floyd County. She is the daughter of the late Henry and Cora Dickerson. She was a member of Floyd Baptist Church for 54 + years. Nancy loved her family, her church and her neighborhood. She will be missed by them all.

She leaves cherished memories with her husband, Posey (Frank) Vaughn; her daughter, Robyn Denise Vaughn and grandson, Anthony Caudill ; her eldest son, Neal Franklin Vaughn; friend, Kenna Rummell and grandchildren, Zack Ward, Gabbie Vaughn and Bill Ward; her youngest son, Joel Martin Vaughn and daughter-in-law, LeeAnn Vaughn; her brother and sister-in-law, Roger Wayne and Linda Dickerson and their children and families; very special friend, Nikola Eller. Nancy will also be missed by her marriage family, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruby and Stanley Lorton; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sandra Vaughn and family; sister-in-law, Catherine Pauley.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday December 23, 2007 at Floyd Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dave Holiday officiating. Interment will follow at the Vaughn-Hylton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd.
