Richardson, Elbert Lee

Elbert Lee (Junior) Richardson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 19, 2007, while attending a prayer meeting at the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Christiansburg, Va.

Lee was born in Mead, W.Va., on February 7, 1937, to the late Elbert Lee Richardson Sr. and Mary Coalson Richardson, of Blacksburg, Va. Lee was also preceded in death by one nephew, Eric Richardson and a niece, Christy Richardson. He married Dian Maxwell Langford on January 17, 1975.

Lee is survived by his wife, Dian; sons, Jackson Langford III, of Greensboro, N.C. and Jason Langford, of Christiansburg, Va.; grandchildren, Hunter Lee Langford and Layla Langford; brothers, Donald and wife, Linda Richardson, Kenny and wife, Connie Richardson; sisters, Shirley and husband, Henderson Linkous, of Blacksburg, Va., Gerry and husband, Harold Vandivort, of Blacksburg, Va., Alma and husband, Don Stenburg, of Oklee, Minn.; and special friends, Carole Martinez, of Radford, Va., and Linda and Dale Eller, of Christiansburg, Va.

Lee retired from the Tennessee Virginia Gas Company of Radford, Va.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, December 22, 2007, at 1 p.m. in the Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, Va. with the Rev. Tina Cox officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, December 21, 2007 at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive S.W., Blacksburg, Va.
