Pippen, Woodrow Wilson

Woodrow Wilson Pippen, 91, of Pulaski, Va., died Thursday, March 2, 2006. He was born on May 11, 1914 in Edgecombe County, N.C. and was the son of the late Henry L. Pippen and Glynn Crocker Pippen.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Juanita Welton Pippen; son and daughter-in-law, Laneau Lafayette Pippen and Lee Oliver Pippen, Columbia, S.C.; three granddaughters, Susan Pippen Rhyne, Montgomery, Ala., Blynn Pippen-Hadley, Montgomery, Ala. and Brooke Pippen Compton, Columbia, S.C.

A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski with the Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. Visiting will be after the service at the cemetery. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
