Perdue, Donald Joseph
Donald Joseph Perdue, 58 of Glen Lyn passed away Thursday, March 2nd, 2006 at his home.
A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born March 25th, 1947, and was the son of Viola Meadows Perdue of Glen Lyn, and the late Fred Lawrence Perdue.
He served in the United States Army in the Vietnam conflict.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, S/SG Johnny Aaron Perdue and wife Melissa of Fort Stewart, Georgia; one daughter, Crystal P. Blake and husband Chris of Princeton; one sister and her husband, Brenda and Barry Thomas of Oakvale; three grandchildren, Ashley Blake, Kristin Perdue, and Rayne Blake.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4th, 2006 at 2 PM in the G.E. Davis Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale with Rev. Olen Robertson and Rev. Bill Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek. The family will receive friends at Fredeking Funeral Service Friday from 6-8 PM and at the residence of Brenda and Barry Thomas in Oakvale.
