Deeds, Eathon Dale
Eathon Dale (E.D.) Deeds, 91, of Christiansburg (“Ellett Valley”) left this life on Thursday, March 2, 2006 to be reunited in heaven with his wife of 60 years, Ella Wood Deeds.
E.D. as he was known by friends retired from the Radford Arsenal after 20 years of service, after retiring he went into the antique business for 25 years, having a small shop in the Ellett Valley.
Survivors include his son, Steven Deeds and wife, Ruth Ann Marshall, Ellett Valley; a stepson, Ronald Lee Holman, Blacksburg; one sister, Stella Hensley, Roanoke; special niece, Pat Starkey, Catawba; and countless other nieces and nephews. He will be loved and missed by everyone who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2006 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
