Sorensen, Lela Duncan

Lela Duncan Sorensen passed away February 4, 2006 at Providence Hospital in Olympia, Wash. at the age of 91. She was born on January 11, 1915 to Robert and Pernie Semones in Floyd, Va. She lived in Christiansburg, Va. until 1965 when she moved to Olympia, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Winston Semones; sisters, Willie Simmons and Ethelene Wheeling; and former husband, Ralph Duncan.

She is survived by her husband, Folmer (Jim) Sorensen; son, Harless Duncan and wife, Dorothy; granddaughters, Connie Jewell and husband, Robert, Kimberly Weyrauch and husband, Brian, and Yvonne Duncan; great-grandchildren, Matthew Weyrauch, Krista Weyrauch, John Williams, and Chase Beebe, all of Olympia, Wash.; brother, Maynard Semones and wife, Leathie of Greensboro, N.C.; sister, Reva Steele and husband, John of Riner, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were with Mills & Mills Funeral Home in Olympia, Wash. At her request, there will be no public funeral services.
