Slaughter, Margaret Jones

Margaret Kathleen Jones Slaughter, 90, of Clarksville, Tenn. and formerly of Radford, Va., died Wednesday November 7, 2007 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tenn.

She was born March 20, 1917 in Pulaski, Va., and was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Rupe Jones and James Fayette Jones. She was a retired food service supervisor at Radford University.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton (Gawky) Slaughter. She is survived by her daughters, Tamara Byrd, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Linda Savage, of Studio City, Calif. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kathy Armistead, Todd Foster, Tony Armbrister, Kim Wilburn, Tracy Cooper, Jennifer Wright, Katie Baird, and Tag Savage; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
