Munsey, Ralph Herman

Ralph Herman Munsey, 79, of Dublin, Va., died late on Sunday evening, November 4, 2007 in Richfield Rehabilitation Center in Salem, Va.

He was born January 11, 1928 in Giles County, and was the son of the late Geneva Parsell Munsey and William H. Munsey. He was retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant where he was a Senior Computing Clerk, was a member of the Dublin United Methodist Church, and a 45-plus year member of the Dublin Lions Club where he attained 43 years of perfect attendance. He also received the Life Time Membership Award from the Lions Club Foundation International.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Oran Munsey and Cletis Munsey. He is survived by his wife Gloria (George) Scott Munsey of Dublin; one son, Jeffrey Wayne Munsey and his wife, Donna, of Knoxville, Tenn.; one daughter, Pamela Ann Pugh and her husband, David, of Salem; and four grandchildren, Amber Renee Munsey, Kayla Marie Munsey, Lindsay Nicole Pugh and Spencer Scott Pugh.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the Dublin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Rowland officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Dublin Lions Club. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 1 until 3 p.m. prior to the service.
