Smith, Lois Collins

Lois Collins Smith, age 84 of Pulaski died Monday evening October 22, 2007, in Pulaski Community Hospital.

She was born August 28, 1923 in Pulaski, and was the daughter of the late Adam Crockett Collins and Nora Dodson Collins. She was a 73 year member of the First United Methodist Church, and a quilter for 28 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edgar Erby Smith, a son, William Howard Smith, and a sister, Alma June Collins Brown.

She is survived by one daughter; Lois Ann Smith Matheson of Manchester, New Hampshire. She is also survived by 4 grandsons; Christopher Matheson of Manchester, New Hampshire, Jason Matheson of Manchester, New Hampshire, Michael Smith of Roanoke, and Charles Smith of Pulaski, and her adopted children, Terry and Suzanne Vaughn of Pulaski, and adopted granddaughter; Andriette Vaughn of Charlotte, NC.

Memorial services will be held Thursday October 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. View United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Schoeneman, and the Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating. Interment of her cremains will be in Mt. View Cemetery.
