McDaniel, Virgie T.

Virgie T. McDaniel passed away October 21, 2007. She was born October 6, 1908 in Dublin, and was the daughter of the late Lucinda Cole Thornton and Frank Thornton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter T. McDaniel, and a grandson, Eric T. Roop, and three brothers and three sisters. She is survied by two daughters; Carrie McBride and her husband Cecil M. of Blacksburg, and Mary M. Roop of Pulaski. two grandchildren; Sherry Shelley and her husband Michael of Dayton, Ohio, and Mark S. Roop of Blacksburg. Also survived by three great-grandchildren, Maria, Ryan, and Joshua Shelley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. here at SEAGLES. Visiting will be here at SEAGLES Tuesday one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Radford/Carilion EMS.
