Stump, John Henry

John Henry Stump, 80, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at his home in Radford. He was a member of Dublin Baptist Church and retired from New River Industries with 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Bruce and Emma Catherine Epperly Stump.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Helen Akers Stump; sons and daughters-in-law, James Daniel and Kathy Stump of Stephens City, and John Andrew and Patty Stump of Dublin; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Buddy Jackson of Max Meadows, and Katherine and Russell Gaskill of Cedar Island, NC; brother, Ambrose Stump of Jacksonville, IL; 6 grandchildren Jacob, LeeAnna, Tracy, Jonathan, Caitlin and Lukas; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Dennis Jones officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Pound Pals of Radford, PO Box 2851, Radford, VA 24143.
