Edna Morgan Hardy, age 78, of Christiansburg died, Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Golden Living Ccnter, Greensboro, NC. She was born in Christiansburg on March 20, 1936 to the late Charlie and Cora Thomas Morgan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hubert Hardy, her son, Charles William Hardy, brothers, Daniel, Ernest and Joseph Morgan. She was a member of Schaeffer Memorial Baptist Church. She was a 1954 graduate of the Christiansburg Industrial Institute and a 1956 graduate of National Business College, Nashville, TN. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Charline Hardy, Christiansburg, Darlene Hardy Cooper and husband, James, III, of Greensboro, NC, sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie Hardy and wife, Karon, of Raleigh, NC, Charles Hardy, II, and Ingrid Elmvik, Malmo, Sweden, Frank Hardy, Samuel Hardy, both of Nashville, TN, grandchildren, Chas, Ginny, Kiana, Alexis, Albani, Edna Moa, Isa Alma, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Beatrice Morgan, Claudine Morgan, Marie Morgan, all of Christiansburg, Virginia Fisher, Mary Ford, Marion (Pleas) Ford, Linda Braddy, George Hardy, David Hardy, and Howard (Mary) Coats, all of Nashville, TN, Robert Hardy, Clarksville, TN, special friend, Elizabeth (Bibby) Barnes, host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm Schaeffer Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Suggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Schaeffer Community Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time at the church. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
