Melva Lucille Keith Largen, 83, of Pulaski, passed away Tuesday May 6, 2014 in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. She was born August 5, 1930 in Floyd County and was the daughter of the late Jabe and Hattie Hylton Keith.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, James Largen; two sisters, Ruby Reed and Margie Keith; two half-brothers, Lois and Chris Keith; and two half-sisters, Nova Shelor and Elizabeth Weir.

She was a member of the Jordans Chapel United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James (JW) Largen and Sammy Larger both of Pulaski; sisters, Katy Reed of Michigan and Wilma and Glenn Reed of Floyd; grandson, Jabe Largen and Amber; granddaughter, Ashley Funk; great-grandchildren, Erica Funk, Ella, Isaiah and Olivia Largen; great-great grandson, Christian Funk; sisters-in-law, Betty Horton, Ruby McGrady and Priscilla Rameriz; brother-in-law, Jr. Largen; many nieces and nephews; and special family of Shane, Nancy, Scotty and Keegan Craighead; her church Family at Jordans Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 at noon from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastors Jabe Largen and Scott Robertson-Gouge officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. till the service hour Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the Family requests donations be made to the Willie Cook Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Jordans Chapel United Methodist Church, Pulaski, VA 24301.
