Back, Pauline Banks

Pauline Banks Back of Pulaski, Va., passed away at her home on Thursday, August 16, 2007 surrounded by the love of her family.

Pauline, the daughter of Grant and Rausey Stallard Banks, was born March I, 1927 in Letcher County, Ky. She is survived by her husband, John Back of Pulaski; children, John T. and Linda Back of Pulaski, Sherry and Bill Krueger of Hickory, N.C., Lynn and Rich De Leo of San Luis Obispo, Calif., Wynn and Linda Back of Richmond, Va., Jeff and Beth Back of Pulaski, and Kim and Benny Harriman of Pulaski. Survivors also include 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one brother, Salyer Banks of Cleveland, Tenn.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Angela Hope Back; sister, Hazel Day of Pulaski and Roanoke, Va. and five brothers. Pauline was an active member of the Bob White Blvd. Church of God and the Bob White Lady Quilters.

Friends and neighbors are invited to join the Back family in remembering Pauline’s gentle, loving spirit at a viewing on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 6 p.m. at the Bob White Blvd. Church of God, 1621 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski and funeral services on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 3 p.m. at Bob White Church of God with interment to follow at Thornspring Cemetery with the Rev. John Briggs, the Rev. Jerry Collins and the Rev. C.R. Conner officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Medi Home Hospice of New River Valley. The Back family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Matthew Kaatz and his staff for the compassionate and loving care extended to their remarkable Ma-Maw.
