Dunn, Jesse James

Jesse James (Jimmy) Dunn, 75, of Elliston, peacefully passed away on February 20, 2006.

He is survived by his children, son, Samuel Dunn, Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Dori Dunn, Scott and Jamie Dunn; daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Kenny Terry, Toni and Cory Roberts; and daughter, Brandi Murphy; 11 grandchildren, Samuel Dunn, Jr., Erica Dunn, Amy Dunn, Greg Dunn, Sam Pascoe, Tonya Fontenot, Dustin Fontenot, Michael Nelson, Douglas Nelson, Dominic Murphy and Patrick Dunn; four great-grandchildren, Seoul Dunn, Gabrielle Simmons, Christopher Greene and Hannah Nelson. Jimmy is also survived by one brother, Andrew Dunn; and three sisters, Ruby Starkey, Helen King and Nanny Minnick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses and Ruth Dunn; a sister, Francis Maxey; brothers, Clivie and Nathan Dunn; and a grandson, Scott Fontenot.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2006 at the Midway Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Sesslor Cemetery, Ironto.
