Coltrane, Ruth Jones

Ruth Jones Coltrane, 83, of 2221 Lee Highway, Pulaski, died on Monday night, August 13, 2007 at her home. She was born in Montgomery County on July 24, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Thomas Creed Jones and Ole Richards Jones.

She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, Pulaski. She was a retired cafeteria manager for the Pulaski County Public Schools.

Surviving are her husband, Harry D. (Bill) Coltrane of Pulaski; sons and daughter-in-law, Danny and Melba Coltrane of Pulaski, and Gary D. Coltrane of Pulaski; granddaughters and spouses, Christie C. Sexton of Pulaski, Ellen C. and Jason Greene of Pulaski, Lynn C. Gray of Dublin, and Lora C. and Adam Snyder of Hickory, N.C.; six great grandchildren; and special caregiver, Taunya Vass of Pulaski.

The funeral service and visitation will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
