Sarver, Mitchell
Mitchell (Mickey) Sarver, 38, of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2007. He was born on April 10, 1969 in Radford, Va.
A loving husband, and devoted father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Doug and Louise Sarver; and his maternal grandparents, Mitch and Goldie Nester. Mickey was a member of the Pulaski County Cougar Football and Wrestling Teams from 1984 to 1987. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy in 1991. Mickey was an avid hunter, golfer, and football fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs. He was employed with Volvo Trucks of North America and Blue Ridge Nissan in Wytheville.
Surviving are his wife, Melissa Sarver of Dublin; and son, Chase Sarver; his parents, Lee and Betty Sarver of Belspring; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell (Doodie) and Missy Sarver and Robbie and Lisa Sarver; his father-in-law, Carl Blankenship; many nieces and nephews, and family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at The Parrott Church of God with the Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery. VFW Post #76 will conduct Military Graveside Services. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford.
