Wimmer, Nancy V.

Nancy V. (Granny) Wimmer, 74, of Elliston, Va., passed away Sunday, February 19, 2006 at her residence.

She was born September 28, 1931 in Buchanan County, Va. a daughter of the late Oliver L. and Cannie Jones Keen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Sansom Wimmer; a brother, Willie Keen; and a sister, Beatrice Hagerman.

Mrs. Wimmer worked several years at the Lancer Truck Stop and attended Wabun Congregational Holiness Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Norman Carl (Buster) and Sharlona Wimmer; a daughter and son-in-law, Rita Kay and Stephen Foutz; two grandchildren, Mandy Dawn and John MacFarland and Ami Celeste and Chris Meador; two great-grandchildren, Devon Dequan Council and Makenzie Danae Wimmer; three sisters, Dorothy Lambert, Rosa Jones and Viola Wimmer; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2006 from the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son with the Rev. Gary Shepherd officiating.
