Aldridge, James Lowell

James Lowell Aldridge, beloved husband and father, 55 of Bent Mountain, went to be with the Lord, Saturday July 28, 2007.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Aldridge, and his father-in-law, Thurman "Jack" Huff. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Emma Jean Aldridge; son, Travis Aldridge and wife Lindsay; father, James Aldridge and friend Jean Ferguson; mother-in-law, Virgil Huff; sisters, Jennifer Aldridge and Ann Penn, sister-in-law, Janice Foro and husband Brad; brother-in-law, Marvin Huff and wife Becky; nieces and nephews, Kelly Lewis, Vonda Dillon, Shana Roop, Bryan Nester and Taylor Penn; four great-nieces and nephews.

Lowell was employed by Shenandoah Industrial Rubber Company in Roanoke. He was a much loved and well respected servant of his community, an active member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and retired after 25 years of service with Bent Mountain Fire & Rescue. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday August 1, 2007 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Copper Hill, with the Rev. Greg Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery, Floyd. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd. Memorial donations may be made to Mt.
